OUR FARM STORY - part 1

We always dreamed of moving to the country to raise “free-range kids” in the dirt and sunshine. Matt and I both grew up in the country...Matt riding dirt bikes, and me riding horses.  I've always had a passion for small town, small business, design, old homes and wholesome food.

We had been married for 15 years or so, along the way we would find an old house to live in, fix it up, and dream of the next old house we could buy to fix up.  After having our second girl, Savanna, we got the bug to find acreage and move to the country.  Just before Savanna turned 1, we had an incredible opportunity to purchase a home just outside of town on 2.5 acres. Almost 4 years later, the opportunity to purchase the historic Westerlook Farm came along. We knew we found the most charming property that would never run out of 'fix it' projects!!  With eyes on a new adventure, we sold our home, my little home decor shop in McMinnville, and our darling little vacation cottage in Carlton, we packed up our girls, the old bull dog, the goats and chickens and headed to Carlton...where both girls were born....literally….at home….in Carlton.

I guess you could say, I have always been a little bit on the "crunchy" side :)
