A Miniature Hereford is a full blood Hereford.  They are simply not as tall as the normal, ordinary Herefords you usually see today.  Purebred Miniature Herefords are free of the dwarf gene and are registered with the American Hereford Association (AHA), just like their large counterparts; and their pedigrees within the AHA trace all the way back to when Hereford cattle first set foot on American soil.

Miniature Herefords, because of their smaller size, are much easier to handle compared to large cattle.  They are beef cattle that require less space for comfortable living quarters and they eat far less food.  They have a superior feed conversion! They also make great backyard pets and can even help you to obtain agricultural tax exempt status. We always have quality stock for sale, so reach out if you are looking to add to your herd, or start your own!

Beef Shares

RESERVE YOUR BEEF SHARE(S) NOW!

We sell our beef by the shares directly to individuals and families. We focus on quality and taste, so we slaughter seasonally at the beginning of June when our pastures are at their peak and the beef is the most marbled, tender, and flavorful. Our cattle are slaughtered on our farm by a licensed mobile butcher, our cattle remain calm during the entire process. This is not only humane, but it also produces the best beef. Our beef is typically ready for your freezer by the end of June.

We sell ground beef shares (1/32 share - approximately 20 pounds of packaged ground beef.) Each 1/32 share is $200, coming out to $10/pound of grass fed/grass finished, packaged ground beef.

1/32 ground beef share ~ $200 ($10/per pound of grass fed/grass finished, packaged ground beef.)

We also sell our share by the 1/4 quarter. You can purchase 1/4, 1/2 or the entire cow. 1/4 share is approximately 140-180 pounds hanging weight. You can expect your take-home cuts to yield about 70% of hanging weight which is about 95-125 pounds of take-home beef per 1/4 share.

Our grass-fed beef shares cost $7.50/lb hanging weight plus butcher fees. Butcher fees are approximately $165-$190 per quarter share, paid directly to the butcher, and include on-farm slaughter, custom cut, wrap, and dry aging of your grass-fed beef. The approximate total cost per quarter share is $1,215-1,540 depending on the weight of your quarter. USDA regulations require that you pay the butcher directly for cutting and wrapping your meat.
