EASY CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM || a Ninja Creami recipe
/Late last summer my ice cream maker finally died. Ice cream makers get A LOT of use around our house….I am not ashamed to admit I love to make (and of course eat:) home made ice cream quite often:))). My family loves it, too! Not only does it taste better than store bought, in my humble opinion, I know exactly what ingredients are in it!
I have a few friends that have the Ninja Creami, and so I decided to take the plunge. I experimented with a few recipes. At this stage in my life, in order for the recipes to work, they need to be easy, have minimal ingredients and use milk and cream instead of powders.
This chocolate ice cream turns out delicious every time…and it meets all my criteria! If you have a Ninja Creami, you will want to make a batch of this ice cream…..but be prepared to want to eat it every night! :)
CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM RECIPE (I triple this and it makes enough to fill 4 Ninja containers)
1 cup milk (preferably raw)
1 cup heavy cream (preferably raw)
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/3 cup sugar
Add all ingredients into a blender and mix.
Pour into your Ninja containers, place in the freezer and wait 24 hours.
If you set your frozen container out about 15 minutes before you want your ice cream, it will soften and once magically mixed by the Ninja Creami, it will tasted like a rich, chocolate soft serve!
Enjoy!!!
